The Debt Ceiling bill, which is officially known as, “ S365 – Budget Control Act of 2011” was originally known as, “To make a technical amendment to the Education Sciences Reform Act of 2002”, and was the vehicle used by the Senate to take control of the legislation, which was susposed to originate in the House of Representatives, like all spending bills.

The Budget Control Act passed the House of Representatives on March 1, 2011 with a 269-161 (+3 No Vote) spread, just in time to avoid a Default on our Debt – so we are illegitimately told.

The following 174 Republicans in the House of Representatives have chosen to betray the Republican ideals of a limited and fiscally responsible government, and Voted to Raise the Debt Ceiling (S365):

In the Senate, the bill passed Tuesday, March 2, 2011 with a vote of 74-26. Below is a list of Republican Senators who voted for this bill:

(Once the roll call vote is computed, we will replace this text with the members of who voted for it.)

On this website, we don’t care how Democrats vote, so they are not included. The Democrats in Congress are expected to be worthless, anti-american socialistic freaks. However, if you want to see how they voted, you may visit the original bill roll call page.

As for these Republicans, they have betrayed our founding principles. They have proven themselves to either be subject to intimidation or to manipulation. Either way, they are of no use to the Republican Party and must be removed.

In particular, Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell have shown that they are indeed establishment Republicans who are more concerned with maintaining the status quo than protecting our society from the progressive agenda that has brought our nation to its knees. Whether they are incompetent or complicit is irrelevant, they have shown that they are of no value to us, and must be removed.

We will remember these men and women and we will be replacing them in the next primary election. Any Republican who cannot do the job that we have hired them for, does not deserve to return to office. Just as we will fight to remove the Socialist Democrats from office, we will also clean our own house.

When someone falls off a cliff, there is no amount of negotiation, pleading or compromise which will stop gravity from pulling them to their death. Such is the state of our nation and our economy. No amount of compromise, negotiation or pleading will stop this nation from collapsing if the steps are not taken to keep us from going over the cliff. This action does nothing to stop that collapse from happening and actually pisses away our one sure fire way of saving our nation.

These Republicans voted for to raise the debt limit by 10 Trillion Dollars, give Obama a pass through the 2012 election and negate our advantage in the House of Representatives by abdicating their own (majority) vote to a 50-50 sub-committee do not deserve to Represent the People. They have failed.

I urge all Republicans to join with me in removing these rejects from office and replacing them with people who can and will do what we tell them to do.

When is the right time to sell gold? NOW. Obama may sell our nations gold to pay for his massive debt.

Obama will not sign legislation that will balance the budget, and he certainly will never sign any legislation that would amend the constitution. Furthermore, any such legislation would probably never make it out of the Senate, thanks to Harry Reid (and the ignorant voters of Nevada who reelected him.)

That leaves us with no resolution regarding our debt crisis. This is exactly what President Obama wants.

By not resolving the crisis, the nation’s ability to borrow money ends. As a result, Obama gets absolute Dictatorial authority to decide who gets paid – and who doesn’t.

But this also gives him the excuse to put another nail in our economic coffin. In order to gain revenue for his spending programs (which of course, he will never cut) Obama will begin to sell United States Government assets.

We have lots of assets, the least of which include land and most importantly, GOLD.

The word has already gone out to those in the Obama camp to begin slowly divesting themselves from gold. George Soros has already reduced his holdings. So too has Warren Buffett and many others. These elites have made a fortune on gold. They conveniently purchased the bulk of their gold before the crash of the market, and before the rush to the safety of gold.

I believe that a day will soon come when Obama will verbally announce (ie: float) a decision to “investigate whether or not we should sell a small portion” of the gold that we hold in Fort Knox and other places. Of course, the justification is that we need to raise revenue in order to pay our bills and to prevent cutting Social Security and Medicare payments to old people. “Which, by the way, we wouldn’t have had to do, if it were not for the Republicans”, Obama will say.

On that day, gold will drop $800 – $1000 an ounce (or more). There will be little time to escape.

With our credit rating already lowered (thanks to Obama’s previous efforts), treasury bonds become high risk and there is no place for investors to run. Stocks will tumble as investors simply flee the market with whatever cash they can.

The gold traders have been artificially pushing up the price of gold for 2 years now. They make unjustified claims that gold “could get as high as $5000 an ounce” and that it, “has never been worth zero” in a media blitz that is designed to suck in an unsuspecting public who they can motivate through fear that they (the public) may lose what little they have left.

My advice is that you save yourself by getting out of gold now, while you still have a chance. Don’t get greedy by trying to squeeze out every penny; just take your profit now and stash it away. The best place to be when there is a rush for the exits – is in another building. Just like Soros and Buffett.

*Legal Disclaimer – I am not in any way a financial planner and this is not any sort of professional, legal or financial advice. I am just a regular guy expressing my OPINION and hoping that you won’t fall victim to the next round of the depression. I also have no financial interest in gold or any gold holdings.

Slavery. According to history, slavery officially ended (in the United States) on December 6, 1865 with the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Notwithstanding the non-official and illegal instances of slavery that continued for a period of time after the thirteenth amendment was signed, or in consideration of human trafficking that still exists in one form or another, today, the idea of actual slavery is a thing of the past. It remains only as a part of our history, that we try desperately to forget.

The word “Slavery” is actually an umbrella term to describe a system in which people are either treated as property and/or forced to work or perform some action against their will. In general, the “slave” is a captive of another, but this does not necessarily mean that they are physically restrained. In early America, slaves were often held through violence and threats of retaliation against family if the slave was to attempt to flee. This same technique can still be found today in human trafficking and sex slave industries.

Another type of slavery is known as, “indentured servitude”. The term originates from a type of contract between an “employer” and an “employee” (an indenture) which obligates the employer to pay the cost of travel to the United States and to provide room and board to the employee for a period of time (usually 7 years). This type of slavery was most prevalent in the 1700’s, before the founding of our nation, and was actually the most common type of slavery.

In many cases an indentured servant could be bought and sold in the same manner as one would expect of any other type of property, including that of an official “slave”. If there is a lighter side to indentured servitude, it is that an indentured servant’s contract was for a fixed period of time (or money), and in some cases the servant could “buy out” his own contract. Of course, this was conditional upon the servant being allowed to hold a second job that would provide him/her a second source of income in which to do so.

This brings us to the modern day equivalent of an indentured servant. One in which a person is not beholden to another person, but to a government, specifically the United States Government.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) (ie: Obamacare) was signed into law on March 23, 2010 by President Barack Hussein Obama. This bill contains a provision which has become known as, the “Individual Mandate.” Essentially, this bill requires that every single human being living and breathing within the United States of America, must have health insurance, and that the insurance must meet certain minimum requirements.

Starting in 2014, every person (even if they don’t earn an income) will be required to file a form with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to certify that they have the minimum health insurance coverage demanded by the U.S. Government. They must either show proof that their employer has provided them with insurance; that they have purchased their own insurance; or that they will purchase insurance (by paying a fee) to the Government.

Failure to comply with this law by not purchasing the insurance; completing the IRS forms; or falsely representing on the IRS forms that you have insurance will be considered to be a form of Tax Evasion. Upon conviction, the person could receive a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison and a $100,000 fine, in addition to the costs associated to prosecute the offender.

The Democrats in Congress believe that they have the power to create and enforce such a law under the “Interstate Commerce” clause of the Constitution. This provision gives the federal government the right (and obligation) to regulate commerce between the states. Its purpose was originally intended to regulate our monetary system and to insure that one state could not unilaterally impose a tariff (or TAX) on goods imported from another state. The Democrats now wish to pervert this clause into including “inaction” by stating that because the act of “not” buying insurance affects the national marketplace through higher rates, there is a de-facto engagement in commerce – by not engaging in commerce. (Basically, to exist is to affect commerce.)

This view of “economic association through inaction” is the holy grail of fascism. With this philosophy there is no limit to the ability of the government to control the lives of a people. It would essentially give the government absolute power. Power in a way that not even Adolf Hitler could achieve or imagine.

To summarize, under the PPACA the purchase of insurance is mandatory to live free. If you fail to buy the insurance that the Government demands of you, you will go to jail and everything you own will be seized to pay your fines. After you get out of prison, you will be a convicted felon and will likely never again be able to work in any respectable job in your life. You will never be able to own a gun (a fabulous bonus for liberals). You will never again have any sort of credit that might improve your position in life. You will become the third class member of our society and nobody will ever care about you again – ever. You will likely become a ward of the state and end up living on welfare (bonus #2 for liberals). All of this because you refused to purchase Health Insurance.

When any action becomes compulsory upon an individual as a condition to be free from oppression, subrogation or servitude, such an act can only be described as slavery and is not only unconstitutional but it is also unholy. It is absolutely without doubt that the “individual mandate” is nothing more than government instituted indentured service, and is a violation of the Thirteenth Amendment.

I will go further and state that every congressman and woman who voted in favor of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, including the President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama who signed such legislation, has knowingly and actively participated in conspiring to Enslave the People of the United States to a life of indentured servitude, and therefore should be arrested and should stand trial. Such an act should, in the least, be a violation of the oath of office.

If any other group of men or women (other than congressmen) were to gather in a place to discuss and plan this exact same action, they would be arrested and brought up on charges of “conspiring to overthrow the Government”. But yet somehow, “conspiring to enslave a people” when done under the guise of legislation and instituted by representatives who were elected by the People with whom they are attempting to enslave, is considered to be perfectly legal.

Throughout human history, tyrants have always represented that their actions to oppress, enslave or persecute are legal and valid. We witness this even in our own time. Iranian, Syrian, Egyptian or Libyan leaders justify murder of civilians as a legal action to quell anti-government demonstrations. In Sharia Law, it is perfectly legal to murder infidels (ie: you and me) because we interfere with that law. And now, in America, it is perfectly legal to arrest and imprison people for objecting to become a slave of the government and to purchase Health Insurance, whether or not they need or want it.

I will submit to you this: That I am not a slave. My right to be free comes from God. It does not come with a condition that I fill out forms to submit to the government. My freedom is not conditional on my willingness to buy health insurance. I will not allow my property, which I have lawfully acquired though my hard labor, to be seized as payment for my right to exist. The Government cannot subvert my God given rights by instituting pretend offenses and then holding me in violation of them. And I, for one, will not willingly submit to such an atrocity.

On the positive side, I believe that the Healthcare Enslavement bill is ultimately doomed. If the Supreme Court doesn’t strike it down, Congress will repeal it. I can say this with certainty because I believe that anyone in Congress who votes against the repeal of this law will be removed from office. It’s really that simple. They can be removed the easy way or they can be removed the hard way, but eventually they will be removed because the people of this nation will not stand for slavery. If necessary, we will replace them one by one until we finally get a group of people who will do what we tell them to do. It may take some time, but it will happen.

Our nation remains on the path to destruction. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower – but always moving forward to destruction.

Yesterday, our great leaders in Washington finally came to an agreement on the budget for last year. Ok, actually it was for this year’s budget, but the budget was supposed to be passed last year. At that time, Democrats (who had the opportunity to pass anything they choose) chose not to pass a budget because they didn’t want to deal with the ramifications of intentionally quadrupling our debt, just before an election.

No, they had more important things to consider … like, trying to force through amnesty for illegal aliens; passing environmental laws to limit personal freedoms; seizing control of the internet … You get the idea. Why should they deal with the pesky issue of economic budgets. After all, Democrats never have cared about the budget. All they care about is “transforming” the United States into a Socialistic Utopia.

Last month the Republicans, with a pseudo-spine on loan from the Tea Party, came up with a budget plan that included a paltry $60 Billion dollar cut. They had promised they would cut a staggering $100 Billion dollars, (note intentional sarcasm) but instead came up with accounting tricks and piecemeal legislation to calculate a theoretical savings of $100 Billion…or at least close to it. But no one knows for sure because the accounting is so convoluted that you can’t actually count it.

Besides, this isn’t the real fight (they say). Now they say that the real fight will be the extension of the national debt and the 2012 budget. That’s where the Republicans will “sock it to em”. Yeah, how much do you want to bet?

And the beat marches on.

The progressive nature of our society continues. The same game is played out – again. One side kicks the socialism horse in the sides and takes us on a full sprint toward a new world order (personally, I liked the old World Order where we were winning) and the other side pulls back on the reins. But they never manage to turn the horse around – just slow it down. So our nation remains on the path to destruction. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower – but always moving forward to destruction.

There can be no doubt that Democrats in general and Liberals in particular are the primary instigators in tearing down our nation. But weak, business-as-usual Republicans only give aid and comfort to the enemy.

If we are to have any hope of our nation surviving the next decade, we must recognize that all of us – especially elected government officials – cannot be trusted. Period. Mankind is NOT capable of benevolence with power. Abuse will always occur when man has power.

Those in power always seek ways to further or maintain that power. Legislators will always seek ways to reduce their opponent’s ability to gain power (thus reducing theirs) and always strive to grant their supporters more power. Oftentimes this power comes by bribery, masquerading as charity or “Social Justice”. In the end, it is just another way to buy votes from the people, or gain contributions for the next campaign. Every legislator in our government is nothing more than a glorified prostitute, in one way or another.

But don’t think that the power-train only stops at Government offices. The People share their desire for Power as well. 60 years of progressive indoctrination has created an entire generation of selfish, socialist sympathizing pansies who demand more and more free stuff from the government. These people have learned how to organize into mob groups to demand and force elected officials to “redistribute” and give them more of the pie. This unholy alliance serves not the nation, but a select group of nasty societal leaches (ie: Unions and special interest groups).

Our forefathers understood and accepted one simple truth. That people suck.

Consequently, they attempted to create a governmental system that would diffuse power into as many groups as possible. Each group would have a little power, but never enough to really screw things up beyond repair. The goal was to make it so difficult to pass laws (and seize power) that only when the people, as represented by many diverse groups, would come together in honor and compromise, would a “change” be made to the current system.

But today, those mechanisms of balance have all but been eliminated. We have allowed our government to have the tools necessary to make “change” easy. We have quasi-government agencies that make “regulations” which have the full effect of law – but without legislation, representation or appeal. With the 17th Amendment, our States have absolutely no representation and virtually no power against a tyrannical federal government. Congress makes its own rules to make it easy for the party in power to pass law, and difficult for the minority party to stop it.

We have a tax system that is based, not on the equality of man before God, but on the size of his wallet. We have a monetary election system that ensures only chosen elite may serve their country at the highest levels. We have an education system that is destined to divide our populace into two classes. We have an economy that is based on consumption, instead of production. The list of destructive elements in our society are so great and so all-encompassing that it could only be by the shear grace of God that we have survived this long.

Our nation is an empire that will soon become nothing more than a chapter in a history book as a great nation that – once was.

If we are to have any hope of saving our nation, we must get back to the simple truth that our forefathers understood. That mankind is untrustworthy and that no man should be allowed the opportunity to gain power over another. That power corrupts – and absolute power corrupts – absolutely.

We must remove the tools that our elected officials use against the people to gain power. We must force the repeal of the 17th amendment and return to our States the seat at the table that they deserve. We must force the revision of our tax system to eliminate the progressive tax and install ONLY a single national sales tax. We must eliminate all government regulations. Only laws, passed dutifully by Congress shall be permitted to stand. And finally, we must assure that campaign contributions must only be used in the district where they were collected; thereby eliminating undue influence of local elections by outsiders.

If we do not move forward and take these steps; if we do not redistribute power back to the people and remove the mechanisms that give dominance of some over others; if we do not recognize that our system of governance must be so designed to forbid any consolidation of power; then our nation will fall. We will tear ourselves apart until we are so weak that we will either degenerate into a fascist dictatorship or we will be overthrown by one.

Let us not be distracted by the ramblings of the left, who want nothing but the dissolution of our nation. Let us never accept the excuses of our elected nor the political spin they provide to cover their indiscretions’. Let us remind them, daily, that we want the Constitutional Amendments to force a balanced budget, term limits and a revised tax code that we have demanded.

Let us put an end to the forward march to destruction and chart a new path to prosperity.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) reported the December ABI score was 54.2, up from a reading of 52.0 the previous month. This score reflects an increase in demand for design services (any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings) for two consecutive months. The new projects inquiry index was 62.6, up slightly from a mark of 61.4 in November.

This represents the first time in 3 years that the ABI has had two consecutive months of positive demand and may be the first real sign that the economy is starting to recover from the recession. “This is more promising news that the design and construction industry is continuing to move toward a recovery,” said AIA Chief Economist, Kermit Baker, Ph.D., Hon. AIA., in a report for Architect Magazine.

The trend shows improvement in the Northeast (55.3), South (54.8) and Midwest (54.8). The West (48.4) is trending upwards but still in negative territory (ie: less bad news).

Architecture firm employment fell to 163,700 in November (the most recent data available), down nearly 26 percent from the most recent high in July 2008.

These figures would indicate that construction related jobs will slowly begin to return around September 2011, if all goes well and the trend continues.

There may be light at the end of this tunnel.

Progressives suddenly optimistic about economy.

It’s amazing how optimistic the progressive left, including President Barack Hussein Obama is about the state of our economy. “Economy going in the right direction”, is the mantra. You see and hear that message, in one form or another from all the mainstream, news organizations. It’s a “cautiously” rosy picture of our economy.

Anytime bad news arises from a report, the media always seems to have a good news story to headline right next to it. It reminds me of the comedic song, “It’s gonna be a great day.”
This is an interesting contrast to the tune being played in January 2008, when George Bush was President and the Leftists were trying to force their way into all three branches of the Government.

Don’t you remember the vitriolic accusations? “Eight years of failed Bush policies have destroyed the economy.” News reports in early 2008 accused George Bush of being the devil almost on a daily basis. The left made sure that every piece of economic news was portrayed with the most desperate tone possible.

But not today. Today it is a different picture. Today, “Things are getting better.” Really? Let’s compare:

The above graph is a snapshot of 10 key indicators of the “Economic Health” of our nation. In every single category, we are in a poorer position today than we were at this same time in 2008…and we all know how that turned out.

We now know for fact that in January 2008, with economic conditions less dire than they are today but with a Republican in the White House, the mainstream media portrayed the economy as a runaway car headed for a cliff.

<Today, with the Progressive Barack Hussein Obama in the White House, it’s no big deal. We just need to put some more gas in the car.

Where’s the panic? Where’s the concern? Don’t worry, just wait for it. Although we haven’t seen much of it since Obama became President, now that the Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives, the concern over the economy will return.

But it won’t be as before. The Democrats will have to come up with something new, and rest assured, they will. They will be searching for a way to shield Obama while still hanging the Republicans. As always, they will begin by throwing excrement at the wall to see what sticks. It won’t necessarily be about the economy.

They have already tried to use the tragedy in Arizona, and that backfired. But it doesn’t matter – they will just try to find something else. They are relentless. When they find something – anything – that sticks, it will become the “issue” which will be replayed day in and day out in the media.

At the end of the day none of it matters. The news media has become so divorced from reality that people simply don’t listen anymore. We (the People) know ‘what is truth’ – and what is not. The drum beat that is played out on TV is not meant for us (the People) anyway, it is meant for one specific group of Liberal fanatics in order to work them up into frenzy so that they will instigate or goat conservatives into a fight.

The “news” from the mainstream media is become nothing more than “professional wrestling” for liberals. There is nothing “real” about it. It’s a completely choreographed exchange of disinformation and propaganda from the Progressive left. Examples of this, such as what I have illustrated here, only serve to confirm what the people already know.

This is why the mainstream media are no longer relevant.

How do we rebuild the United States? How do we stop the destruction of the US? Blogger illustrates steps necessary to restore our nation to greatness.

How to: Restore America

How do we stop the destruction of the US? How do we rebuild the United States?

Many people forget (or perhaps were never taught) that the Constitution of the United States of America was not the first document of the United States to outline the powers of the federal government.

The first Constitution, the one that was in effect when the Declaration of Independence was written in 1776, was actually the Articles of Confederation and it is this document which gave us our name, “The United States of America”. [Read Full Text]

The primary purpose of this document was to formally establish a bond between states and to set the framework that would be used to execute the war. This bond, would be something akin to the United Nations. The Articles of Confederation blatantly affirmed that it is the States who retain control of their own destiny, and that this new national unification was ONLY a mechanism to create unity and peace among them and to secure their liberty from Great Britain.

Even at the time of signature, it was recognized that this Constitution would eventually need to be replaced. Too many issues such as the delegation of rights, taxes & legislative procedures were left out. Regardless, this was a document that all the states could agree to and it was sufficient for executing the war. The Articles of Confederation was finally ratified by all 13 States on March 1, 1781 and remained in effect until March 4, 1789, when the present U.S. Constitution went into effect.

As the 2nd Constitution developed, the founders did something that no group of men had done before them, and no group of men has done since – they gave up power. As the long war with Great Britain came to an end in 1783, it would have been easy, and some say even expected, that a more familiar Parliamentary form of Government would have been the result. But instead, they embarked on a new and radical form of Government – a Representative Republic.

(Please note: Progressives are attempting to revise history by eliminating “Republic” and calling us a “Representative Democracy”. They want you to believe that you are living in a Democracy.)

It was the intent of these Nobel and Honorable men to assure that each State would retain its own sovereignty and that the United States (as a collective) would exist for the sole purpose of handling international and interstate affairs…and nothing more.

Power, where it was necessary to exist, would be distributed in such a way that each entity would have representation, and no entity would have absolute power.

The People would be represented by directly electing members of the House of Representatives.

The State(s) would be represented by members appointed by the State Legislatures (who were also elected by the people) and that those men would be of equal numbers in a “Senate” so that no State has greater influence than any other.

The Federal Government would be represented by the Office of the President and as a collective of Both Houses of Government.

Of course, not everyone agreed with this plan. Even then there were Progressives who didn’t like the idea of government being controlled by the people. In the late 1700’s to early 1800’s these progressives were called “Federalists”. Alexander Hamilton founded the Federalist movement and he had plenty of supporters including John Adams (the 2nd President of the United States).

These Federalists believed the same thing that Progressives believe today – that the public is too stupid to take care of themselves. Consequently, the Government must take care of them. It’s the only humane and honorable thing to do (they say).

Yet despite the differing political opinions, our founders still recognized that no one man (or small group) should be permitted to ever seize power over the people of this land. If it were ever allowed, it would inevitably lead to subrogation of the people and then ultimately to the destruction of the nation.

Since that time, progressives have systematically dismantled those protections. The first (and most disastrous) grab for power came with the repeal of the 17th Amendment of the Constitution in 1913. Under the guise of “helping the states” by ending bickering in state legislators, the 17th Amendment essentially stripped States of their rights and removed them from the negotiating table.

By having the people directly elect their State Senators in the same way they elect their Representatives, the Senators are no longer beholden to their State Governments. Essentially, Progressives successfully executed a coup d’état and eliminated one full branch of government. They seized power from the States and awarded it to themselves.

Incidentally, who do you think was President during that first election year after the repeal was ratified by 36 out of the 48 states? You might have guessed it, Woodrow Wilson. The leader of the modern day Progressive Movement. And with his Democratically controlled House, and his Democratically controlled and now corruptible Senate, the modern Progressive Movement could begin.

The system that the Progressives (both Republican and Democrat) have engrained into our Government, schools and institutions today will inevitably lead to the collapse of our nation. It is a system based on “elites” making law and policy to further their own stature while the common man no longer has a voice. Every regulation, rule, law or policy is built upon a previous confiscation of power, creating a systematic enslavement of the people to a bureaucracy that only the most powerful and the richest among us have the knowledge and means to navigate.

This system of “Aristocracy”, as it is technically defined, can only lead to one outcome – Revolution. It always has and it always will. It is the nature of man to seek power and to demand more. Just as the elite pursue more power – the commoners demand more services and “stuff”. Eventually, the weight of selfishness from both sides comes crashing into reality. It may not happen this year – or even the next. But it will happen unless we take action to stop it.

Herein lays the problem. Nobody wants to do anything about it. Sure, everyone talks a good game. Politicians fall over each other to convince the people that they have the answers. Their opponent, well he is an evil S.O.B. and only wants to destroy you. But if you can help him/her get to office with a minor contribution of $25 to their political campaign, they will put an end to the corruption in Washington, and put us back on the road to responsibility.

And – nothing – ever – gets – fixed. We march on to destruction. Just as no amount of political spin, good will or happy thoughts would have stopped the Titanic from sinking; so too our nation sinks into the deep.

Solutions.

There is a way to save our nation. But to do that we must understand what our Federal Government is supposed to do – and what it is NOT supposed to do. As was the intent from the very beginning, when the Articles of Confederation were first signed, our Federal Government shall exist for ONLY two reasons:

Provide for the common defense.

Regulate (ie: insure fairness in) Interstate Commerce.

That’s it. There is nothing more. If there is anything else that you want – you either get it from your State – or better yet, you should take responsibility for your own damn life. This is what our ancestors fought for: to live or die at their own hand. Without someone else telling them what they can or can’t do.

Expecting anything more than this from the Federal Government is nothing but Progressive Theology, which is not only failing miserably, but it has brought our nation to the edge of the abyss. The Progressive model has proven that it does not work. Look around you … do you like what you see? What you see, in every aspect of your life, is the work of Progressivism.

There is an indoctrinated illusion of humanitarianism in Government. Progressives claim to hold the patent on Government compassion. But in real world practice, this is not possible. Every altruistic act first begins with a decision of the giver to sacrifice one’s own money, time or labor. But the Government doesn’t have money of its own. Every dime the Government uses to provide service is confiscated from the people. Government workers don’t have ‘time’ or ‘labor’ to give either. Both of which belong to the people for whom they serve.

To help one person – Government must necessarily hurt another. And in the transfer of wealth from one person to another, they skim a bit off the top. Where is the incentive to stop?

The first step to saving our nation begins with this awareness. Once we get our state of mind back to where it should be, and we throw off the lies and false promises of Liberalism, then we can begin to take steps to divest ourselves from the institutions which have enslaved us.

Ultimately, the final goal would include the following:

Phasing out Social Security and Medicare. New generations don’t expect that those programs will exist by the time they retire anyway. These programs and all other social programs must be eliminated at the federal level. If Progressives want to keep them – fine, they can do so at the state level where they have to use their own money to pay for them. It is immoral to force those who contribute to our society to pay for those who do not.

Repeal the 17th Amendment. States must regain their seat at the table. How each state chooses to select their Senators is their own business – not the business of the Federal Government. Ultimately, if a state can’t get their act together – it is their own damn fault. People will leave and contribute their income to another state.

Amend the Constitution. The Constitution should be further amended to include:

A Balanced Budget Amendment. Federal Government Shall not spend any more than previous years revenue. This will actually be quite easy because of the reduced size of government.

Forbid Inclusion of Earmarks in Bills. Every bill must stand on its own merit and of course it must meet the budget.

All bills shall be read aloud prior to vote. This is to assure that the legislators are able to legally attest that they know and understand what the hell they are voting on. To vote (as they have done) on any bill without knowing what is in it, is the most egregious form of malfeasance. Any legislator who votes without knowledge of the contents of a bill shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

Senators must conduct every meeting in public view. Senators (not House Representatives) may not meet or discuss any issue privately. Ever. Not even by phone or email. (Ok. Exception for National Security or Foreign Affairs for those serving on special committees.) History has proven time and again that Power Corrupts – and Senators are not trustworthy. Every word spoken must be public.

Salary of Public Servants. Elected officials shall never receive more in salary or benefits than the average of those on active service in the military. All tax returns shall be public record and if a public servant benefits in any way from public policy they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

Flat Sales Tax. See below. Shall not be increased without 2/3 majority of both houses plus ratification of ¾ of the states. And it shall never more than 1% per year.

Campaign Contributions. All campaign contributions must be spent in the district where they were collected for the district where they were collected. No funds may transfer from one district to another or from one candidate to another.

Eliminate the IRS. A flat tax on the sale of goods is the only fair tax system. All men are equal in the eyes of God and so shall they be equal in the eyes of taxation. The Class warfare that the Democrats use to maintain control and power over the poor must come to an end.

Gut the EPA, FCC, FDA and all other Bureaucracies. These agencies are used as weaponry against the citizens of this nation to control their actions. They create law without due process or representation and are completely unconstitutional. Any law which is deemed to be of necessity to the People should be subject to review, discussion and passage by Congress. Else, it is not a law and is unenforceable.

National Defense. It is not in the interest of the people of this nation to rebuild enemy nations or societies. War should never be undertaken unless absolutely necessary to protect American Citizens from a foreign invasion. Once begun, it is in the interest of the nation to win the war as quickly and as viciously as possible, with the goal to be complete annihilation of the enemy. Other nations must so fear the United States that they would never risk action against us. Conversely, we must welcome friendship with open arms and warrant that we will protect our friends as we protect ourselves. With this position – Peace on Earth is actually possible.

End Trade with Enemies. It is immoral to trade with those who are enemies of the United States. It is also immoral to provide aid to the enemies of the United States. Those who are not with us – are against us. We must wake up to this reality and stop the Liberal Kum Baya crap.

End Limited Liability of Corporations. Essentially, all officers of a corporation shall be held personally liable for all actions of a company; financially, civilly and criminally. This will have the effect of limiting the size of corporations and the power and dominance they exert because those who run the corporations are not going to allow the company to grow beyond their personal control. This will open up more competition and will actually bring back mom & pop businesses which are the foundation of American Life.

These are the actions which must take place in order to restore our nation, our economy and our spiritual righteousness. Without taking these actions, our nation will eventually fall. While we may be able to slow the destruction by taking other steps, or nibbling on the edges of the ones illustrated here, ultimately our success depends on accepting that nothing short of a complete reconstruction of our system will save the United States.

All this begins first with the acceptance of what our Government is supposed to do – and what it is not supposed to do. Then we can begin to dismantle and remove the mechanisms that brought us to where we are today.

Why is unemployment so high? A simple question with a not-so-simple answer.

The mainstream news media tries to paint the issue with a broad brush and gives us the overall statistics. But this is really a more subliminal method of deception than a way to provide any meaningful incite. “9.8% unemployment overall” is the message, citing the governments “official” numbers and only rarely giving the “actual unemployment” number of 22%.

However, even the real number of 22% is deceptive. Again, this is an ‘average’ unemployment rate. Some sectors, such as Engineering as well as Architectural Design have a continued unemployment rate as high as 50%. Manufacturing and Construction sectors hover in the 30’s while retail sales, restaurants and fast food jobless rates are moderate; under 19%.

Not factored at all – in any of the equations – are recent graduates who have never been employed but still will not find work in their chosen field.

Statistics however only give us a snapshot of ‘who’ is unemployed. While we can glean some information from the industry demographics, they don’t directly tell us ‘why’ unemployment is so high. To understand ‘why’ we must first go back to the beginning, and understand the cause. Which is probably not what you think – or have been told.

Travel back in time with me to October 8, 2007. It is 7 years in to the Bush presidency. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) just hit an all time record high of 14,093. Home values had reached their peak in June of 2006 and by October 2007 they were only down about 1%, not enough to cause any sort of panic. Concern, maybe. But a 1% dip in prices does not mean that homeowners should panic.

At this time, NOT ONE financial planner – despite what they tell you today – predicted the events to come.

Consumer prices were up. Actual unemployment (not the faked numbers that we use today) was at 5% which is considered to be FULL employment (Ref. this Unemployment Chart). Despite the effects of 9-11, two wars and hurricane Katrina devastating Texas and Louisiana, the economy, by all measures was the best it had ever been. Of course, George Bush was still an evil S.O.B. for stealing the election back in 2004 and got zero credit for the booming economy.

There was only one brown spot on the economy. Gas prices had been inching upwards due to rising demand and the greed of our good friends in OPEC and the Saudi Government. By October, it began to look like gas prices would hit $3.00/gal. by the end of the year, and they did. In January, 2008 gas prices cross the three dollar mark to a record $3.05/gal. Now people were starting to actually feel economic pain as opposed to theoretical investment losses.

Something else happened in January 2008. The Presidential Election season went into full swing. Liberal Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama began fighting each other over the Democrat nomination. Each of them trying to out-liberal the other for the support of the Progressive left.

The progressive left controlled media went into all out war against President Bush. It didn’t matter that Bush was not on the ballot or even that John McCain was a Progressive himself. The media was bound and determined to make sure that the next President was a Democrat. They wanted their historic moment. They wanted control of all 3 branches of Government. Truth-be-damned.

In order to assure that a Democrat would be the next President, they needed a crisis that they could hang around President Bush’s neck. The Democrats saw an opportunity to turn the temporary gas crisis and housing bubble into a national state of emergency.

So despite the fact that the economy (as a whole) was doing fine, the word went out that all Democrats were to start screaming bloody murder about the economy. The “talking points” were clear: “Failed Bush policies are destroying the economy.” Every Democrat was required by Pelosi & Reid to use every opportunity to accuse President Bush of destroying the economy.

You may recall that their statements were actually criticized at the time by some (thoughtful) commentators. The reality of the situation did not seem to fit with the statements being made. At least, not at first.

To drive home the point (and garner more media attention) Nancy Pelosi introduced H.R. 5140 – Recovery Rebates and Economic Stimulus for the American People Act (It was renamed later.) The purpose of this bill was to “Stimulate” the “failing” economy by giving each person $600 bucks.

Magically, the House passed the bill just one day after it was introduced by Nancy Pelosi. It was then sent to the Senate, amended and returned to the House in less than a week. The country marveled at the efficiency of our superior government under Pelosi & Reid for this “unplanned, emergency” legislation. Never before in history has legislation moved so quickly. President Bush signed the bill on February 13, 2008. (Interesting side note: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama did NOT vote on the bill.)

Little did Bush know that the entire bill was a setup from the word go. By forcing Bush to sign the bill, Democrats were gaining acknowledgement from the Republicans that the economy was in the crap hole. They would use this revelation against the Republicans in the upcoming elections. And by amplifying the situation, they would create a self-fulfilling prophesy.

By July 2008, gasoline topped out at $4.11/gallon. Of course, no-one knew that this was the peak at the time. When Obama receives the Democratic nomination for President on August 27, 2008 prices still hovered just under $4.00/gallon. By November 2008, the damage will have been complete and prices would then plummet to $1.78/gallon, but for now the country is really spooked.

With each passing day, it becomes more probable that Barack Hussein Obama will become the next President of the United States. As his poll numbers rise – stocks fall. On days where McCain appears to be gaining ground – stocks rebound.

The reason for this is clear and was apparent even at the time. The market knows that an Obama Presidency would mean higher taxes, lower wages, unemployment and burdensome regulations. It didn’t take a genius to know that when Liberals controlled all three branches of government, they would not be able to contain themselves and would pass every leftist policy they had ever dreamed of. Finally, it would be payback time.

Ultimately, this is the real reason that our economy crashed. We have had gas crisis before. We have had housing bubbles before. We have had banking crisis before. None of this was new. What was new was the unchecked power and unbelievable spending spree that the Democrats would binge on.

And now we come to back to the question of unemployment. Why is unemployment so high?

The short answer is that the Democratic controlled Congress of 2006, along with the naïve ignorance of President Bush, created the circumstances of an economic downturn and then created a panic over the downturn which forced business into a defensive position. But while these events started the recession, we remain in recession as a direct result of a Democratic Congress – and President Obama.

As the Stock Market began sinking; as housing prices fell and as gas prices rose; Democrats amplified and used this “crisis” for their own political gain. It would not be fair to cry conspiracy because it is doubtful that they actually knew their cries would have the effects that it did. History has proven that most of the time, political campaign rhetoric is just that, rhetorical nonsense. Usually, it is nothing more than political theater designed to get people railed up. But this time, it had actual consequences.

Generally, a reduction of asset value doesn’t cause lower money supply. But paying more for gasoline does. When people have less money to buy the latest products and services, companies which exist to serve those products or services will inevitably suffer. This creates a feedback loop, causing layoffs and therefore less money to enter the system.

Ultimately, it was gas prices and a Democrat induced panic which kick-started the recession, not real estate values and not taxes or bailouts.

In the end, the only thing that creates jobs is “Demand”. Without a demand for a product, or service, there will be no-one to full fill it. Period. Case and point is the fact that when gas prices rose, demand for SUV’s dropped like a rock along with the companies who made them. ie: General Motors.

Lower-class morons and Liberal freaks never seem to understand the basic principles of supply-demand. They often feel that somehow they are “entitled” to a job. To them it is as if businesses exist for the purpose of giving them employment, instead of providing a product or service.

Rarely do Liberals understand that employment only comes after a businessman (woman) decides to risk his/her own money to fulfill a need. Progressives really cannot understand that the harder one makes it for a business to fulfill a need, by increases in taxes or more importantly by the implementation of regulations, the less likely those businessmen are going to take a risk.

Businesses don’t just take risks for the hell of it. They “manage risk” by calculating probability of success vs. cost. Until or unless that cost/benefit analysis is favorable to the business – the need will go unfilled. Small business often acts as the guinea pigs when it comes to trying new things and taking risk. However this can only happen if the conditions are present which allow a reasonable level of risk. When the President and the Democrats attack small business they are in effect, killing future development.

For all the talk and nonsense about “created or saved jobs”, where are the statistics about “job opportunities lost” because of Obamanomics?

The bottom line is that unemployment will remain high until such time as the demands for products increase enough to warrant higher production, and thus more people are needed to produce the products that people want. But it takes a lot longer to build up wealth than it does to lose it, so one should expect that unemployment numbers will remain high for quite some time.
