Back on the Jenny Craig wagon. Today is the start of my 4th Week. I am currently 6.9 pounds lighter and hoping to see another 3 pounds by day 28.
Breakfast started off with the Classic Waffles* ($4.09) with Breakfast Syrup* ($0.80). I topped it with a banana. The syrup is pretty good. I think I have already mentioned that I have a hard time believing that the calorie count is so low.
The Turkey Burger* ($7.39) tasted ok. It’s quite insulting to think that this costs the same as I would get in a restaurant for about 1/4th the food. I forgot to pack tomatoes but made due with my salad as a topping. I’ve substituted the Green Beans with Garlic & Olive Oil* ($5.99) with Cheesy Broccoli* ($2.99). If I had known that I could do that three weeks ago it might have saved me a few bucks. But then again, when you are in the store, they don’t show you the prices. You only get the total cost. You have to go online to see the individual prices.
The Baja Style Chicken Quesadilla* ($6.59) is deceiving. The box looks like three large wedge slices of a quesadilla. Then you open the box and you get one, 5″ tortilla folded over into a Quesadilla. It was very disappointing.
Even more so when you consider the price paid for it.
Still, I topped it with my peppers, onions, avocado & some hot sauce. But I had some left over pepper blend so I did cheat and add one more 5″ tortilla of my own. … but I skipped the Ranch Snaps tonight. So I figure that the one extra tortilla was an even swap.
