The White House is asking for you to “rat out” anyone whos emails or blogs contain opposing comments about Obama’s health care reform. According to whitehouse.gov:
If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
Let’s think about this for a minute, someone would have had to put forth a bit of effort into this – they would need a team to read all those emails, another team to investigate and find a way to debunk them, another team to decide how to spin it to their best interest and yet another team to blame it on the Bush administration.
It’s commendable that our government is finally taking the time to do something about all the questions that their employers have about health care but I think that they’ve got it backwards.
Is there an email for questions and concerns about the proposed health care reform? Is there a team dedicated to reading those emails, and to answer those questions? Of course not!
If we had received straightforward and factual information in the first place, then the White House would not have a need to spend their time and our money on a ridiculous plan like this one. They used the quote “Facts are stubborn things” but we would have the facts if they weren’t so stubborn!
By the way, the quote “facts are stubborn things” originates from the trials of the Boston Massacre.
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” ~John Adams, 1770
Not familiar with that part history? Here is a bit of information from the first few lines about the Boston Massacre on wikipedia.com:
“The Boston Massacre was an incident that led to the deaths of five civilians at the hands of British troops on March 5, 1770, the legal aftermath of which helped spark the rebellion in some of the British colonies in America, which culminated in the American Revolution.”
Interesting choice of words considering this incident is tied to the American Revolution. Does that seem “fishy” to you?
I suspect that this health care reform will include an enormous “health care tax” that will go to pay off our deficit and not have much to do with health care at all.

Let us all welcome Pam, my wife, as a new contributing author.
Thank you my love for that great contribution.
Welcome Pam! And sorry Michael that I have to do this…I have to make a citizen’s arrest! Clearly, you think AND have an opinion…shame on you!! I am trying to find the number for the white house…Ahhh, here it is!
Well, I guess I should just arrest Pam while I am at it..maybe there is some type of reward for taking in two people? My new profession: Republican Bounty Hunter!
I turned myself in to flag@whitehouse.gov. I’m quite guilty.
