December 21st, 2012 – Judgement Day?
Whether or not you believe in prophesy, the fact remains that never before in history have so many seemingly disconnected prophetic sources converged into a singular date.
You know the date:
December 21st, 2012
- Judgment Day -
At least that is what we are told. It’s the day the world will end. Or at least, the world “as we know it” will end. As we all know, every generation that has ever lived on earth has had their vision of when the world will end. While I’m not one to fall into the doomsayer crowd, I have to admit that this one has got me a bit spooked. Why would such a level headed guy like me get spooked over something so ridiculous? Well, it’s the shear volume of instances and propagations that that all seem to point to this particular day. Coupled with current events which might lead to a manmade disaster of some sort.
Our first reaction to this sort of thing is to immediately say, “coincidence”. It’s just a coincidence that so many sources point to that particular day. Really? Scientifically, if that were the case, then there would be just as many references to any other day. Say for instance; July 1st, 2009 So how many references can you find for July 1st, 2009? Zip, zero, nada – absolutely none. In fact, pick any other upcoming date for the next 100,000 years and you will find that nowhere are there more ‘prophetic’ references to a date than to December 21st, 2012. Statistically, it’s a complete anomaly.
I decided to compile a list of all known references to that specific date. I’ll let you be the judge of the significance of current events, but the references that follow are specific, verifiable and as factual as can be expected.
Mayan Calendar – The source that really started the whole debate. The Mayans believe that the world will end on (13.0.0.0.0) in their Long Count Calendar. There is tons of information on the internet about this so I’m not going to recite all the Mayan details in this post. It is sufficient to say that the calendar has been interpreted and correlated to our calendar, and that date turns out to be December 21st, 2012.

Bible Code – A book written by Michael Drosnin, is often sited as a source of prophesy. While questionable as to methodology, Drosnin has managed to extract consistent hidden data from the text of the Tora. This data indicates that a comet will destroy the earth in 2012. (Exact date not provided) Fortunately, and also conveniently, it also predicts a comet will not destroy the earth in 2012. It seems that both predictions are indicated. Some have interpreted this data to indicate that we have the ability to alter our own future.

.
Planet Nibiru – The Sumerian civilization existed some 6000 years ago. By far predating even the Mayans. There are various interpretations of the text, but the sum of it is that a planet they called Nibiru passes by the earth about every 2160 years. Using their calendar and doing the calculations you will arrive at the year 2012.

.
I Ching – The Ancient Chinese Oracle known as the “book of changes,” was intensely studied by Terrance McKenna in 1993. McKenna calculated out the 64 repeating cycles of the i-ching and overlaid them with a timeline. He began with the accepted “beginning” of time (as defined by the ancient Chinese calendar) Oddly, the timeline runs out precisely on December 21st, 2012.
.
.
Oracle Sybil – In ancient Rome, a well known and respected oracle known as Sybil prophesized that the world would last for 9 periods of 800 years each. (Obviously, they were off by about 4 billion years) However, it is interesting is that the last generation of which the Oracle would speak, comes to an end in 2012 (based upon the Roman interpretation of when the earth began).
.
.
Web Bot – The Web Bot began as a computer program designed to predict stocks by reading the “collective unconscious” of the world on the internet. Basically, project leaders recognized that the web bot was predicting more than just stock picks. The prediction for 2012 is vague, but startling .. it predicts a “worldwide calamity”.

Astronomical – Here I place all the various scientific data that we know for sure will be taking place on or about December 21st, 2012.
On this winter solstice, events are a bit more complex than usual. It Is true that this particular date is a bit unusual astronomically. In fact this particular alignment only happens once every 11,250 years. It is the result of the tilted axis of our earth. Dec. 21st 2012 is the last solstice where the ‘wobble’ of the earth reaches it’s maximum. After this date, it begins a retrograde motion. As a side note, it’s interesting that on this date, the sun will rise at the exact opposite angular dissection of where it did when Stonehenge was built.
.
.
The magnetic polarity of our sun will reverse as the sun reaches it’s apex of electromagnetic output in 2012. (ie: sunspots) Actually, this happens every 11 years like clockwork. The last magnetic pole shift was in 2001 (bet you didn’t even feel it) when sunspot activity was at it’s lowest level. It has been increasing every year since (Can you say global warming?) and will reach it’s peak in 2012. NASA predicts a 35% – 50% increase in sunspot activity over previous cycles. The earth also goes through ‘Pole Shifting’ cycles every 500,000 years or so. The last one was 750,000 years ago. There are signs that it may be happening again, but obviously they can not predict a date.
.
.
Alignments – Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus & Jupiter will each be at their closest orbital distance to the earth at some point this year (although not all on the same day). Still, this conjunction only occurs every 1.9 million years. The Planets orbits are eliptcal so their distance from earths orbit changes constantly. Mars takes 1.9 years to orbit the sun once. Jupiter takes 12 years. Saturn 29.5 years. Uranus takes 84 years. Neptune 165 years. Add in the fact that the earth will have no less than 5 extraordinary meteor showers that year and it’s going to be quite exciting, for astronomers.

I have eliminated rhetorical nonsense references such as Nostradamus, Edgar Caycee, the Book of Revelation and others because they are not specific as to a particular date and could be interpreted by any generation as end of the world prophesy. I’ve also eliminated such references as Hopi prophecies; Merlin; and overdue catastrophic earth events (of which there are many), because a specific date cannot be referenced.
Still, without any “controversial” interpretations of the particular data, the number of incidences alone which reference to this particular date is astounding. As human beings, we often ‘fill in’ subjective data to make connections where none exist but as we can easily see, even without using any subjective interpretations, a quantifiable connection surrounds this particular date. Beyond that which is explainable by coincidence or chance.
Will this be the end of the World? Will it be a dawning of a New World?
One way or another, come December 21st, 2012 (just over 3 years from now) we will know for sure. As for me, all I’m worried about is December 22nd : my wife’s birthday . Which would be my last day on earth, if I forget.
Don’t tease me unless you mean it! At this point it would be a welcomed set of events!
if the worlds gonna end, I better have my fun now, bang as many chicks as I can, girls you should do the same, world is gonna end in 6 months!
I can’t say I look forward to it, but whatever
